Josh Entler – Director of Construction and Development
Josh Entler is the Director of Construction and Development at SouthGate Companies. He leads subdivision development and guides the engineering and design during the land development planning phases of our commercial construction projects. Josh is responsible for managing permit acquisitions, and assisting with city coordination between owners, consultants, and contractors. Josh also acts as our in-house engineer for high level conceptual drafting and land planning projects.
Josh became a licensed engineer after earning his Bachelors of Science Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Cincinnati. Josh has over 10 years of experience in his field. After graduating from the University of Cincinnati, he worked for several Co-ops in Ohio including CDM, KBD Technic, and Richard Goettle Construction. Before joining SouthGate, Josh was the Project Manager at Hall and Hall Engineers in Hiawatha, Iowa. Josh has been at SouthGate Companies since September of 2015.
Josh is the founder of the annual Masonic fishing trip for disabled veterans in eastern Iowa. In the community he served as past President of the board for the Crescent-Jenko Masonic Foundation, is an annual participant in the Cedar Rapids Clothe-A-Child event, and has assisted with the Habitat for Humanity home restoration in Cedar Rapids.
Josh likes to spend his free time biking, camping, kayaking, hunting, fishing, freemasonry, and remodeling his house.
